What is Google FeedGen?

Google FeedGen leverages AI, specifically Large Language Models (LLMs), to enhance your product titles and descriptions. It can also help fill in missing attributes in your feed, such as color, size, and gender, ensuring your listings are complete and appealing.

How does it work?

Step 1: Read Google’s documententation on FeedGen on github

Step 2: Create a copy of the FeedGen Template Sheet

Step 3: Configure the sheet as you please. Choose which model you want to use, which language to use and what capabilities you want to use to create your output.

Step 4: Create an account (with a verified payment method) within the Google Console to use their models

Step 5: Improve the prompt and examples in the configure sheet, to increase the quality of your output.

Step 6: Insert your products into the input sheet

Step 7: Launch FeedGen within your sheet and generate output.

Step 8: Use the output to redefine your prompts and continue optimizing this process to improve your output.

Step 9: Implement improved titles and descriptions into your feed management tool or use a supplemental feed in the Google merchant center.

First results:

The first results we are getting for our clients are very promising. We see that the tool can fill missing attributes and use the text and images on the landing pages to enhance product titles.
